Great Britain’s historic windmill sites

Bankhead Windmill is a former windmill site at Bankhead in Angus. The site is associated with the remains of a circular windmill tower incorporated into a threshing mill.

Gordonstoun, Windmill Dovecot is an eighteenth-century former windmill converted to a dovecot at Gordonstoun House in Moray. The structure is listed by Historic Environment Scotland.

Wester Hatton Windpump is the remains of an early windpump near Wester Hatton in Aberdeenshire. The structure was also adapted at one time to power a threshing mill at Easter Hatton.

Hilton Windmill is a former tower windmill near Ellon in Aberdeenshire. The surviving structure is a Category B listed building.

Forfar, Bankhead Windmill is a former windmill tower at Bankhead Farm near Forfar in Angus. The site forms part of the listed Bankhead Farm and Cottage group.
