George Hill Mill, also known as Stanton Chair Mill or Barningham Road Mill, was a post mill used for corn milling at Stanton. It is recorded with a surviving roundhouse converted to a house. The mill was known by 1824 and was still present in the early twentieth century.

History

George Hill Mill was a post mill used for corn milling at Stanton. It is also identified as Stanton Chair Mill or Barningham Road Mill. The mill was known by 1824 and survived into the early twentieth century.

Later images show the mill with two sails and then the surviving roundhouse. The roundhouse survived after the loss of the working mill body and has been converted into a house.
