History

Ashburnham Mill stood at Ninfield as a post corn mill. It was built in 1809 after having been used for many years at Boreham Street. The mill stood on the High Road and remained standing into the twentieth century.

It was still present in 1936 but had been demolished by September 1937. The standing mill body, trestle, sails, and working machinery have gone, leaving the site as a former post mill location rather than a surviving windmill structure.
