Windmill Plantation, Old Windmill is a late eighteenth-century former windmill near Leswalt. Historic Environment Scotland describes it as the remains of a tapering circular-plan windmill tower built of rubble, about 12 feet high, with an internal diameter of 8 feet and walls 2 feet thick. The wooden upper part and sails have gone.

History

Windmill Plantation, Old Windmill is a former windmill near Leswalt in Dumfries and Galloway. Historic Environment Scotland records the site as the late eighteenth-century remains of a tapering circular-plan windmill tower. The surviving rubble-built structure is about 12 feet high, with an internal diameter of about 8 feet and walls about 2 feet thick.

It has a single entrance to the south-west. The wooden upper part, sails and machinery have not survived. The site was listed on 20 July 1972.
