Site overview
Playden had several windmill sites near Rye. The post mill associated with this site was standing in the early twentieth century and was still recorded in 1936. The mill was later demolished, with later accounts placing its removal around 1950.
No standing post-mill structure survives.

The post mill associated with this site was photographed in the early twentieth century and was still standing in 1936. It was a small East Sussex post mill and had fallen out of use before its later removal.
Later accounts place its demolition at about 1950. No standing post-mill structure survives at the site.
