Site overview
Hoe Court was an early windmill site at Lancing. A mill was associated with Hoe Court in 1276 and 1277. Later Lancing Windmill was originally at Hoe Court before being moved to the south of Lancing Ring, beside the quarry at the top of Mill Lane.
No standing windmill survives at the Hoe Court site.

Hoe Court was an early Lancing windmill site. A mill was recorded there in 1276 and 1277. The later Lancing Windmill was originally at Hoe Court before being moved to the south of Lancing Ring, where it stood beside the quarry at the top of Mill Lane.
That later post mill was demolished about 1905. No standing windmill survives at the Hoe Court site.
