Findon Old Mill established
Findon Old Mill was established on the downs east of the village by about 1825.

Findon Old Mill stood on the downs east of Findon village. It was a post mill and worked as a wind-powered corn mill during the nineteenth century. The mill was operating from about 1825 until 1888 and had ceased to function by 1896.
Part of the former mill structure later survived as part of a house.

History
Findon Old Mill stood on the downs east of Findon village. A mill was recorded at Findon manor in medieval sources, but the later windmill on the downs was a nineteenth-century post mill. It was in operation from about 1825 until 1888.
By 1896 the mill had ceased to function, and it was demolished soon afterwards. The associated Mill House remained, and part of the former mill structure was later incorporated into the house. A rotunda was added to the later building in 2005.
