Portfield Mill stood at Chichester as a smock mill. It was one of the windmills associated with the city and its surrounding agricultural trade. The mill was still in working order in the early twentieth century and was photographed in 1907.
The later working history and demolition date have not been established.

History
Portfield Mill stood in the Portfield area of Chichester. It was a smock mill and formed part of the group of wind-powered corn mills serving Chichester and its surrounding farmland. The mill was still in working order in the early twentieth century and was photographed in 1907.
Its detailed construction history, machinery arrangement, and final working date have not been established. The mill has since disappeared, and no standing smock-mill structure survives at the site.
