History

Studthorne Mill was built at Market Weighton as a wind-powered tower corn mill. The detailed development and operating chronology has not been established. By the 1930s the mill survived as a capless tower, and a drawing of Studthorne Mill was made in April 1933.

The former mill therefore remained physically legible after its working life, but its machinery, final working date and later alterations remain uncertain.
