The former tower mill survives on Beverley Westwood without its working cap or sails.

Black Mill, also known as Baitson's Mill, is a former wind-powered tower corn mill on Beverley Westwood. It was built around 1803 and forms one of the surviving windmill structures on the Westwood. The tower remains as a local landmark, although the cap, sails and working machinery are no longer present.

History
Black Mill was built on Beverley Westwood around 1803 as a wind-powered tower corn mill. It is also known as Baitson's Mill and has been associated with the names Far Mill and High Mill. The mill later ceased working and lost its cap and sails, but the tower survived on the Westwood.
It remains one of the former windmill structures associated with Beverley's milling landscape and is the most prominent surviving tower mill on the common.
