History

Millfield Mill was built in the eighteenth century as a red-brick tower corn mill at Mill House Farm, Fishlake. The surviving structure is a two-storey conical tower, partly roughcast and outflared near the top. Openings survive on both floors, including a doorway on the east side and segmental-arched window openings.

The windmill later ceased working and lost its superstructure. The remains survived as one of the earliest surviving tower mills in the area. The former mill was listed at Grade II on 29 September 1987. It has since been converted for residential use, preserving the lower tower as part of the former Mill House Farm site.
