Heworth Brickyard Tower is a small surviving tower associated with brickyard use at Heworth, York. The structure is identified as a small brickyard tower rather than a corn-milling windmill. Heworth also had earlier windmills on Heworth Moor, including mills affected by storm damage in the nineteenth century, but the surviving tower at this location is tied to brickyard activity.
Its construction date and detailed industrial use have not been established.

History
Heworth Brickyard Tower stands at Heworth on the eastern side of York. The surviving structure is identified as a small brickyard tower, distinct from the better-known windmills that formerly stood on Heworth Moor. Heworth Moor had wind-powered milling in earlier centuries, and nineteenth-century storms damaged mills in the area, including a post mill wrecked in 1839 and mill sails damaged by lightning in 1847.
The surviving tower at this site is associated with brickyard activity rather than confirmed corn milling. Its exact construction date, original height, power arrangement and period of use remain uncertain. The structure survives as a small industrial tower within the Heworth area of York.
