Site overview
Hornby Mill is a former tower corn mill at Hornby, north of Northallerton. It survives as a converted tower mill incorporated into a house. The mill is identified as a wind-powered tower corn mill, but its construction date, machinery arrangement, working chronology and final closure date have not been established.

Hornby Mill was a wind-powered tower corn mill at Hornby in North Yorkshire. The mill later ceased working and survived as a tower structure. It has since been converted as part of a house, retaining the former mill tower within a residential setting.
The original tower height, cap, sails, windshaft, millstones and final working date remain uncertain. The site survives as a converted former tower corn mill at Hornby.
