Keyingham Old Mill stands on Mill Road, approximately 20 metres south-west of Mill House. It is a tower corn mill for the processing of cereals and has late eighteenth-century origins. Around 1825 the mill was raised and refitted, giving it the tall form recorded in the surviving listed building.

The tower is of brick construction, with brown brick to the first two storeys and red brick to the later upper section. Traces of tarring survive, showing the traditional protective finish once used on the tower. The listed structure is a tapered round tower of six storeys, with a later roof of about 1970. Historic England's listing records multiple segmental-headed openings, blocked doors and later inserted doors and windows.

Production continued until 1941, much later than Keyingham New Mill, which had ceased working around 1900. After the end of milling the tower survived and was conserved. It was listed at Grade II on 27 February 1987 under the descriptive name Windmill Tower Approximately 20 Metres South West of Mill House. Keyingham Old Mill is therefore one of the village's most substantial surviving windmill structures, preserving a late eighteenth-century tower later enlarged and refitted for nineteenth-century cereal milling.
