History
Dunbarney House Windmill is a former vaulted tower windmill south-west of Dunbarney House near Bridge of Earn in Perth and Kinross. The windmill probably dates from the late seventeenth or early eighteenth century and is a representative Scottish vaulted tower mill. The circular rubble-built tower survives as a gutted structure with a large segmental archway in the substructure and a sunken driveway or cart access.
The windmill was ruinous by 1840. It was listed on 5 October 1971 and was formerly also scheduled, with the scheduled monument designation later removed because of dual designation. No complete machinery description, ownership sequence, or precise final windmill operating date has been established.
