Silverstone Windmill stands at Windmill Farm, Silverstone. It is recorded as an early nineteenth-century tower corn mill and was designated Grade II in 1987. The listed description identifies a three-storey pale red-brick tower, partly rendered, with cap and sails missing.
It has doorways on either side, one blocked, with segmental brick lintels, and first- and second-floor windows with similar lintels. Modern windmill records describe the former mill as converted to a house in the late 1990s. The surviving structure is therefore a protected converted tower mill rather than a working windmill.
Its operating history, machinery and closure date are only thinly evidenced in accessible records.

History
Silverstone Windmill stands at Windmill Farm, Silverstone. It is recorded as a tower corn mill and survives as a converted former mill. The tower is early nineteenth century and built of pale red brick, partly rendered.
It has three storeys, with the cap and sails missing. The listed description records doorways on either side of the tower, one of them blocked, each with segmental brick lintels, and windows with similar lintels on the first and second floors. The mill was designated Grade II on 22 June 1987.
Later windmill records describe the building as house converted in the late 1990s, and modern photography records the converted Windmill Farm structure. No full machinery inventory, named millwright, miller sequence or final working date has been identified in the accessible sources. The secure record is therefore a former early nineteenth-century tower corn mill, stripped of cap and sails, protected by listing and later converted to residential use.
