Site overview
Gosbeck post mill was a wind-powered post mill at TM 160 555. A post mill is associated with the site in 1826, and a later post mill at the same location was demolished in 1924. The base and roundhouse survived after the loss of the mill body, including a roofed base with windvane.

Gosbeck post mill stood at TM 160 555 as a wind-powered post mill. A post mill at the site is associated with 1826 and was demolished around 1865. A later post mill at the same location was built around 1865 and survived until demolition in 1924.
The loss of the mill body did not immediately remove all surface fabric, as the base and roundhouse survived after demolition. The remaining base was roofed and fitted with a windvane.
