History

Fishbourne post mill stood at SU 838 044. It was established around 1854 and worked as a wind-powered post mill. The mill formed part of the nineteenth-century milling landscape west of Chichester.

Its detailed machinery, ownership sequence, and final working arrangements have not been established. The mill was eventually pulled down in 1898. No complete post-mill structure survives.
