Golden Cross post mill was a wind-powered corn mill near Herstmonceux. The surviving element is the roundhouse, which has been converted to domestic use. The post mill body has been lost, leaving the roundhouse as the main visible part of the former mill site.

History

Golden Cross post mill stood near Herstmonceux as a wind-powered post corn mill. The working mill body has not survived. The roundhouse remained after the loss of the upper mill structure and was converted to residential use.

The site now survives through the former roundhouse rather than through a complete post mill. The construction date, final working date, and machinery details have not been established for this specific site.
