History

Elphick's Farm Mill stood at Ditchling as a hollow-post windmill. It was built around 1884 and represented a late nineteenth-century windmill site in the parish. The mill was last recorded in 1904.

The standing structure has gone, and no surviving mill body, trestle, sails, windshaft, or working machinery has been confirmed at the location. The site is therefore recorded as a former hollow-post mill site rather than as a surviving windmill structure.
