History
Down Mill stood at Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex. It was a weatherboarded and whitewashed post mill used for milling, with a brick lower portion below the timber body. By 1934 the mill still stood and advertised produce including diabetic bread.
A millstone stood outside the lower part of the building. The windmill body has since disappeared, but the lower brick portion survived after the loss of the post mill above. The former mill site is now associated with the Windmill Drive area of Bexhill.
