Site overview
Telham Hill Mill, also known as Black Horse Mill, was a post corn mill near Battle. It was standing from at least 1747 and ceased milling around 1914 or 1915. The mill was later used as a tea-room, became derelict by the 1950s, and was demolished in 1961.
No complete post mill survives at the site.

History
Telham Hill Mill stood at Telham near Battle as a post corn mill. It was standing from at least 1747 and was an iron-clad post mill with a roundhouse. Milling ceased around 1914 or 1915.
The building was later used as a tea-room, but by the 1950s it had fallen into disrepair. The mill was demolished in 1961. The complete mill body, sails, trestle, and working machinery have gone, leaving the site as a former post mill location.
