Southern Mill was a post corn mill near Lewes and Kingston. It was standing from about 1785 and was demolished around 1912. The roundhouse survived after the loss of the mill body and was later converted to domestic use.

History
Southern Mill stood near Lewes and Kingston as a post corn mill. It was standing from about 1785 and remained part of the windmilling landscape on the ridge between Lewes and Kingston. The post mill was demolished around 1912.
The roundhouse survived after the loss of the mill body and was later converted to domestic use. The site therefore survives through the converted base rather than through a complete post mill, sails, trestle, or working machinery.
